As a paper artist, Anik LEGOUPIL creates on washi and on paper foundations. Processed in installations, mounted on canvas, marbled, engraved, cut out, bound, the papers anchor the artist to the principle of reality as much as they engage her in the process of sublimation.

The artist explores the impact of contextual installation on the perception and experience of her artwork in galleries and natural and experimental settings.

Bio
Anik LEGOUPIL est née en 1972 à Rennes, Bretagne, France. Après ses études artistiques, elle vit et expose à Tokyo, Japon. De retour en France, elle obtient un Master 2 à Paris 7, France. Elle s'engage durant 20 ans autant en tant qu'artiste qu'en tant qu'art-thérapeute.
Anik LEGOUPIL was born in 1972 in Rennes, Brittany, France. After her artistic studies, she lives and exhibits in Tokyo, Japan. Back in France, she obtained a Master 2 in Paris 7, France. She worked for 20 years as an artist as well as an art therapist.
